My Idea Of Christmas

Christmas brings full of enjoyable things to do. From attending Simbang Gabi or Misa Aginaldo to having shopping rush on crowded malls with family and friends.
Every Christian celebrates Christmas. I never failed celebrating it. I never missed enjoying this special season.
But have you ever wondered where Christmas came from? Why we celebrate it? Yes, we all know that it is the celebration of Jesus Christ birthday.
In the Bible, "God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Christmas is also the celebration of our life. Because we are close to not being here today. It's everybody's birthday after all! God LOVES as so much to offer His son to die for us.
I would like to share with you a gospel country song I've heard two nights ago.

Three Wooden Crosses lyrics
Songwriters: Johnson, Douglas M.; Williams, Kim E.;

A farmer and a teacher, a hooker and a preacher
Ridin' on a midnight bus bound for Mexico
One was headin' for vacation, one for higher education
And two of them were searchin' for lost souls

That driver never ever saw the stop sign
And 18 wheelers can't stop on a dime

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them Heaven only knows
I guess it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go

That farmer left a harvest, a home and 80 acres
The faith and love for growin' things in his young son's heart
And that teacher left her wisdom in the minds of lots of children
Did her best to give 'em all a better start

And that preacher whispered, "Can't you see the promised land?"
As he lay his blood stained Bible in that hooker's hand

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them Heaven only knows
I guess it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go

That's the story that our preacher told last Sunday
As he held that blood stained Bible up for all of us to see
He said, "Bless the farmer and the teacher and the preacher
who gave this Bible to my momma who read it to me"

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them now I guess we know
It's not what you take when you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway

On the fifth line the Preacher handed his blood-stained Bible to the hooker and whispered, "Can't you see the promised land?" That means the hooker was saved by God and that changed her life forever.
In return, what have we done to repay Him?
Jesus life did not end on the cross. It was just the beginning of everything. We can continue His life by being a caring mother to our children, a loving wife to our husband and faithful to our neighbors.

Merry Christmas!!!
